Mt. Pleasant Skateboarding Ban
The pleas of nearly 20 skateboarders on Monday did not stop Mt. Pleasant council members from banning the activity on all borough property.
The vote to present an ordinance for review by the borough solicitor was unanimous, aside from absent council members Chris Rega and Cory Snyder.
In September, council considered a total ban because of the damage to borough and private property, as well as safety reasons after children were seen riding down Washington Street on their bellies.
