This site is changing continuously, and my intention is to folow in continuous transformation. The pictures of birds section, are all budgies born under my tutelage.. As soon as I get new borns, exposition budgies, they will replacing the pictures of common budgies.

Hi I'm Salvador Riambau but everyone calls me Salva. I´m 43 years old and I like to raise budgies to relax my self, but I also like cactus and bonsais among other things. I live in a coastal village 20 km. north from Tarragona, Roda de Barà, with a mild climate both winter and summer.

Coming raising periquitos since 2001. I started with a couple they were a gift to my children "someone had to look after them". After a couple of years they decided to lay eggs, here came the problem. How long is the incubation period ?. And other issues raised at that time. So I started looking for information in the Internet from site to site, finding what I was looking for and more.

I am beaming to the world of periquitos ( "Budgie beat me") as the British would say, by their variety and colorful as it is very difficult to find two equal “periquitos” especially in the "periquitos" of EXHIBITION or English. Personally I prefer to call them EXHIBITION instead of English.

Since 2007 I'm raising periquitos of EXHIBITION, which is another world, although it is good to have experience of farming with common or Australians before starting with the exhibition ones. In my stud I raise “periquitos” from the blue and green series, normals, some spangles, cinnamons, inos, Opalines, clear wings, yellow faces and diluted.

I hope that with time, this site could serve both to the breeders who start, as the most experienced ( You always learn something from every body).
